As a millwright’s daughter, you don’t need to ask me twice to attend the graduation ceremony for the Maintenance Service Training Program (MSTP) at The Ottawa Mission alongside Lucille Collard office. Every graduate in today’s class already has a full-time job waiting for them.
As a ...graduation gift, I told them they are entitled to one official “take 90 minutes off work” pass to watch a FIFA World Cup match, and my office will happily provide the permission slip. 😄 You can see their reaction in the third and fourth slide.
Congratulations to all the graduates and thank you to the donors, trainers, employers, mentors, and staff who make this incredible program possible.

Comme fille de mécanicien industriel, il ne fallait pas me demander deux fois pour assister à la remise des diplômes du Programme de formation en services d’entretien (MSTP) de @ottawamission, en compagnie du bureau de @lucillecollard. Tous les diplômé·e·s d’aujourd’hui ont déjà un emploi à temps plein qui les attend.
Comme cadeau de fin d’études, je leur ai annoncé qu’ils avaient droit à un laissez-passer officiel leur permettant de quitter le travail 90 minutes pour regarder un match de la Coupe du monde. Mon bureau fournira même le billet d’absence! 😄 Leur réaction se trouve à la troisième photo.
Félicitations à toute la cohorte et merci aux donateurs, aux formateurs, aux employeurs et à toute l’équipe qui rendent ce programme possible.

C’est l’occasion de donner une deuxième vie à des objets, de réduire le gaspillage, de jaser avec ses voisins et de faire vivre un vrai esprit de communauté. Passez faire un tour, dire bonjour… et peut-être repartir avec un petit trésor inattendu. ☀️
