In April 2024, I brought forward a successful motion at City Council to create a Problematic Properties webpage, to help residents easily understand what qualifies as a problematic property, how to report issues through 3-1-1, and what City departments are involved.

During the pandemic, we were reminded just how important our four-legged friends are as a source of comfort, happiness and routine, especially for those who live alone. Sadly, Rideau-Vanier has one of the highest rates of animal surrender, where people find themselves in a difficult situation and are forced to give up their pets.
