The City’s Election-Related Resources Policy (ERRP) and its procedures prohibit Members of Council who are seeking re-election in a municipal election from using City resources such as office budgets and staff for newsletters and general communications from August 27, 2026, up to and including October 26, 2026 (known as the “blackout period”). As a sitting Member of Council, I must adhere to the City’s ERRP, meaning that this website will not be updated during the blackout period.
My office remains open to deal with day-to-day constituency matters.
After four years of advocacy, today we officially signed an agreement to move forward on a new recreation center as part of the community hub at 250 Montréal Road with the CSC Vanier, the City of Ottawa and Regional Group.
Every time I knocked on doors in Vanier, residents told me the same thing: we need more spaces for recreation, more places to gather, and community spaces that reflect the reality and diversity of Vanier. This project is the direct result of those conversations and years of community feedback.
The vision includes a modern community hub in the heart of Vanier, with room for essential services, recreation, community programming, affordable housing, cultural spaces and more – in addition to recreation space for basketball, pickleball, volleyball, badminton, and other sports. Most importantly, the community will help shape it through public consultations on the amenities and services residents want to see included.
